The Metropolitan Regatta is an independent event founded in 1866 and run under a deed of trust on behalf of the rowing community. Any financial surpluses from the regatta are held as reserves and exclusively used for the regatta to help improve it and to ensure that it is sustainable in the long term.
Below are copies of the summary of our accounts to help our supporters, competitors, coaches, and clubs understand the costs associated with running the regatta and to demonstrate our careful financial stewardship of the event.
Unfortunately, the cost of running the regatta rises each year from increases in supplier prices and other charges that are outside our control. We always strive to minimise any entry fee increases, as the regatta is run entirely for the benefit of the competitors.
